Essential Oil Cautions of Use

-Essential oils may be irritating prior to use dilute with a carrier oil
-If you are medically compromised or taking multiple medications consult with your medical practitioner prior to use
-Essential oils are in high concentrations and are never to be taken internally as recommended by the International and Canadian Federation of Aromatherapists.
-If you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy, suspecting a pregnancy or lactating consult your medical practitioner prior to use as certain essential oils can be considered harmful
-Certain essential oils are safe and can be beneficial during pregnancy, labor, delivery and while lactating
-Do not use essential oils on or near the face on children under six
-Certain essential oils can increase your skin’s sun’s sensitivity (bergamot, grapefruit, angelica root and some citrus) avoid going into the sun or sunbed within 12 hours of applying the oils if you have sun sensitive skin
- Use caution when using essential oils around pets, observe your pet for any difficulty in breathing, only use essential oils in a well-ventilated room and do not enclose your pet with any type of diffuser. Do not apply essential oils directly onto your pet and do not allow your pet to lick any oil that is on your skin.
-Essential oils are flammable
-Avoid getting essential oils into eyes, ears, nose and all body openings
***If essential oil gets into eyes, ears, nose, or other body openings flush with milk
***If stinging persist seek medical attention
-Essential oils can be toxic if taken internally keep out of reach of infants, children and pets
***If you suspect an infant, child or pet has ingested essential oils seek immediate medical attention
